Background and experience
Master’s degree in Business Innovation & Concept Making

Jarl is the founder of Conceptmaking. He has a Master’s degree in business innovation and concept making from 180° Academy, which is an international elite degree programme which develops the ability to innovate by combining theory and practice. Graduates of the programme are skilled in developing radical business concepts and realising them in practice.

Managerial positions in businesses including Grundfos Management and Johnson Controls as well as experience gained as head of innovation and sales at a Danish engineering firm have given Jarl extensive experience and expertise in innovation, concept design and management.

Jarl was originally trained as an marine engineer – a broad technical education which gives him a strong foundation in his work with concept development, innovative learning processes, communication and culture – all areas he is passionate about.

Over the years, Jarl has been involved in teaching at institutions including Aarhus University (external lecturer, Business and Social Sciences) and Aarhus University Hospital on topics such as change management, user involvement, and the application of anthropological methods in connection with radical concept development.
